NPO designs and manufactures a variety of frisker caves to reduce handheld Geiger Mueller (G-M) tube counters background radiation. The four featured designs range from heavy duty, maximum dose reduction caves to lighter and more mobile caves.
T-Flex Variable Thickness Frisker Cave
This frisker cave allows you to add and adjust the shielding thickness as needed for each unique application. The T-Flex Variable Thickness Frisker Cave gives you the ability to add between 1 and 4 layers of T-Flex Bismuth blankets as needed to achieve the background count rate for the specific area it is used in. Keeping industrial safety at the forefront, the components were kept lightweight with the heaviest piece weighing 37 pounds.

T-Flex Mini Frisker Cave
This frisker cave has 1.25” thick magnetic T-Flex Bismuth tiles surrounding the frame. This design is lightweight and allows for quick assembly.

Cart-Mounted Frisker Cave
This frisker cave is designed to be secured to a cart, keeping industrial safety and ergonomics at the forefront. The cart can be built to match the size of the frisker cave to minimize space or built with extra shelf space to accommodate tools and equipment.

Heavy Duty Assemble-In-Place Frisker Cave
An updated version of our original stainless steel frisker cave, this design includes a ¾” port hole in the back of the cave for frisker cable access. It is a 4-piece assembly with lead thickness of 3” on the sides and 1” thick at the top of the cave.
- 1” to 3” of solid Lead encased in steel
- 4-Pieces weighing between 99 lb to 131 lb
- Built-in internal hanger for detector, such as a Ludlum 133-2
